Briyani Amal Birthday ( Part Two)

.....here how it went. We were camping around the small enclosed air-conditioned space right in front of the twin elevators. It all started when we were talking about ghost movies and i specially mentioned that "Santau" was a lousy movie and did not really scared me that much. Suddenly all of us were engulfed by a strange silence. There was a whirring sound and the elevator door behind me ( i was lying right in front of the left elevator) opened by itself. And right inside was...NOTHING. Thank God. We looked at each other and hastily moved aside together. No wait, "....hastily AND clumsily move aside together". We were shaken a little bit. But we reasoned out that the elevators were programmed automatically to open at the top floor for an interval of time. We continued with the stories.

As the 'mornite' (morning + night)slowly passed us, the elevators kept on moving up and down, from basement level to top level, from 1st floor to the 6th floor. However the elevators only opened up one more time after the first time. Nearing 3.30 am, we were talking on the "attacks of the unnatural" back in Irsyad Winstedt Rd. Upon reaching this part,

Jafni: " Eh korang ingat that time zakaria(jaleel) ceritakan cerita hantu tapi tk pakai name sebenar that hantu? kental lah. Kalau nk cerita pakailah name dorang yg betul..."

As soon as the he said those words above the elevator door nearest to us slowly opened. On the dot. Not a second too late nor a second too fast. Our reaction deserved an award for the "Most Shocked Boy Actors in a small space" award. Given up, we went to the mosque and sat there for awhile to cool down. To confirm that the movement of the elevators was not programmed, we went to sit in front of the Muis Auditorium to monitor the elevators. The elevators didnt even moved for a full hour! One stayed at level 1, the other at the basement level. We ended up sleeping in front of the auditorium.

Oh and thank you all to those who wished me a Happy Birthday on that fateful mornite. I really appreciate it very much and i will try not to forget your birthdays too! Insyallah.

That is all readers. salam. peace!

Briyani Amal Birthday

Salam readers,

I would really like to apologize once more for the lack of updates. No wait, not 'lack'. I am sorry for the 'absence' of updates. Things have been busy and sometimes i think i would rather prefer doing a "Vlog" (vidoe blog) rather than a blog!

So on Saturday, i joined a few of Madrasah Al'irsyad's alumnis in helping with the preparation of the Briyani Amal and Maulud celebrations. Upon arriving in Irsyad, i was straight away led to the "big kitchen". There i was entasked to help with the cutting of vegetables. I was very glad to know that i was not needed to peel the onions. I am very sure that if i were to peel onions for a full 5 minutes, my face would have resembled that of a person who had just watched a hindustan movie! Now we would not want that to happen now would we?

Next on the highlight menu was of course the cooking of lambs ( wait, or was it sheeps?). Sighs. i should use the word "Shleeps" ( sheeps + lambs) then. But there was a catch, before we can cook the shleeps, we must first wash them up. Before washing them up, we must first seperate them into groups of 250 shleeps each in a big pot. Hold on, i should rephrased the previous sentence. "........into groups of 250 blood-covered-oozing shleeps." Trust me, me, fathi, hadi nuri, baihaqi, jafni and even Mr Muneer should have been invited to the hit series on Discovery channel, "Dirty Jobs With Peter Schemeichel". I rather face the onions. But, we held on. Barely.

Before reading this paragraph, i strongly advice that you read this in the brightest of room and the liviest of environment. Please skip this paragraph if you are faint hearted in nature. Nah dont worry i am exaggerating, but for the first time in New Irsyad i think me and my friends have experienced the unnatural! Well basically to cut it short, the lifts at the MUIS building really played a fool of us for a full hour ( 2am-3.30am). Well we deserved it actually since we were talking about ghost stories. So.......

(To be continued tomorrow) ;p

28th November

Salam to all. Alhamdulillah s509's visit to our house went quite smoothly. Thank you all for coming down. Hope you all enjoyed and forgive us for any shortcomings!

For the trip, me and my dad had to drive them all here and there back and forth to the destinations. So we ended up doing alot of trips from our house to Danga City Mall. Around 8 times maybe? I solemnly swear that i can drive blindfolded now to that place. Haha. But it was very fun! Oh and maybe we should have called the Malaysia Guiness Book Of Records or something to record down the most number of people a Honda Stream car can fit on that day! Right girls? *evil laugh*.

Played bowling and snooker with the boys over at Danga City Mall. Teamed up with Khairul Anuar. I tell you he has got more potential in bowling than Tiger Woods ever had in golf! Not to mention Luqqi!

Congratulations to arip tan for successfully smuggling in around 7 cd games back to Singapore. *claps*. Did you used some kind of doa or something? Share with us . Might be useful next time *wink*.

And of course i will never forget how the boys were going goo goo gaga over sushi. Yes, over sushi. I think it too Tengku hafizuddin about 10 mins to decide on what sushi to buy? Cool. Nevermind guys, next time i will tell my mom to prepare sushis instead of nasi briyani when you guys come over again! Haha.

To conclude, it was a day to remember! Thank you all again for coming !

Until next time,
Wassalam.

Surprise visit

Salam all! yes i know it has been a very long time since any updates. But i do have my reasons! It has been tiring these past weeks. Morning go to school, evening drive back to johor, reach home latest by 8 pm then off to complete school assignments! But alhamdulillah i am enjoying school life.

Anyway, last friday when i was relaxing at home, suddenly i was awaken by the multiple ringing of my house doorbell. I was quite pissed off really as i thought it was a salesman or what sort. So i did not answered the door. However, since i got nothing better left to do, i opened the door. Ya Allah! it was not a salesman, it was my previous neigbours! After around 10 years of not meeting each other! They currently want to move back in after spending around 10 years living in segamat, jb. cool! ;p

Oh yes, Water house lost the championship again. Congrats to wind house. Their win probably due to mr edward's inspiring speech before the games. However, i am so proud of Water for giving a tough fight this year. In fact for every past years! Nevermind, insyallah the road is still long. Let us focus on next year and win the INTER-MADRASAH game for Irsyad! Irsyad boleh!

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is really a must-buy game for all you gamers out there! It is so addictive that i spend my whole friday night finishing the game. And that was probably the reason why i got a stiff neck when i woke up on saturday.*sighs*. The graphics and gameplay are so real. Seriously for those gamers out there check it out. Go to youtube and see the videos there yourself. i give it 5 stars out of 5.

Btw, my mom asked this question to me and hadi and we could not answered it. Sounds easy at first but think about it properly. Since the opposite of meat-eaters are vegetarians, If you only eat fish, can you be call a vegeterian since fish is not a meat? -_-

Last but not least, to the s509 people who are coming to johor this saturday, please make sure you have your accident insurances. Just in case. *evil laugh*. Just kidding. Who knows we might be buying burgers later *just to irritate my mom*

Until next time,
wassalam.

Too little too much

Salam people. Last saturday i went to Holiday Inn Plaza near Central Johor Bahru. Actually, me and family went there just to eat Pizza Hut, for fun's sake. It turned out to be an outing which burnt a hole (multiple holes?) in my pockets instead.

During the lunch at afternoon, mom wanted to change her Singapore dollars to Malaysian ringgit. So, thinking it was just a normal walk-in-the-park routine, i voluntered myself. Oh how i regretted it. As soon as i stepped into the cold interior of the shopping mall, i knew that something was wrong. It couldnt be.I must be dreaming. THE CD SHOPS ARE BACK!!!! ( i mean the PIRATED-cd shops are back!!)

If you all are wondering why i am shocked, it was because a few years back virtually every pirated cd shop was closed after a raid from the police to curb piracy goods. And if you all are wondering what is the difference between cd shops there and any other cd shops in johor, the shops there sell ALL kinds of software Cds. From photoshop to engineering autocad. From games to nursery rhymes ( Barney anyone?). HEAVEN! oh well. so i bought a couple of software cds such as FL studio 9 ( have been dying to buy that for ages) and games such as Pro Evolution Soccer 2010! FOR ONLY RM 10 EACH!! Which is around only $4.50? Seeing is not yet believing, but BUYING is. There goes some of my monthly allowance. Call it the 'Sim Lim square' of Johor if you like. $-$

Oh and dont worry, EVERY cd was 'installable' and no fake. peace.

That is all for now. Until next time,
wassalam.

One Week Left

Salam readers. This week is the final week of semester holidays. Honestly speaking, i cant wait to go back to school. At least i would be doing some tinkering over there. But then again, start of school means the start of stress. oh well. Alright then let us get to this week's update.

Monday : I had to wake up early at around 9 am ( yes for holidays, 9 am is considered early. But of course slept back after subuh -_-'') to register for my General Elective Module online. Alhamdulillah i got my desired module. Its Sun Tzu's Art of War in Modern Life. Something about applying military war strategies in your daily life. Looking forward to that! ;p

Wednesday : Accompanied my granny to the polyclinic. It was there and then that i thought my two-year old little sister would be grow up to be a marathon-runner or something. I was playing catch-up with her for over two hours at the polyclinic! I am really going to encourage her to take up running or athletics when she grows up. Kids these days. Haha

Thursday : My mom had a minor car accident on the way to school. Alhamdulillah noone was hurt. She told me at least 7 cars were involved. Luckily, she didnt hit the car infront. Unfortunately, the taxi behind druven by an elderly guy could not brake in time and hit my mom's car. There is a litte dent due to that. So tomorrow i am going to bring the car to a workshop in ang mo kio to get it fixed. The taxi driver is paying. *pheew*

So that's it! Its not much. but better something than nothing right? Haha.

Until next time,
wassalam.

Doa Rabitah Ukhwah

This song actually has a lot of meaning behind it. i wrote this song after my mom introduced me to Doa Rabitah. Some words used from a friend's(bunga) blog. Its a prayer recited among friends to encourage each other, help each other in the name of Allah. A prayer to recite when one misses friends . When a burden is too much to handle and sometimes a listening ear is all that is needed.
------------------------------------------------------------
Tanpamu disisku
Setiap hari merindu
Kumenuggu sampai jemu
Khabar cerita darimu
Selalu masa yang berlalu
Hati pilu berundung
Perlukah tamat waktu itu?
Tetap bisa bertemu
Perlukah tanmat waktu itu?
Tetap berdoa untukmu

Oh ya Allah
Eratkan hati-hati kami
Oh ya Allah
Satukan hati-hati kami

Jika kau rindu
Berdoalah rabitah ukhwah
Jika kau pilu
Berdoalah rabitah ukhwah

Bertemu
Bersatu memikul oh bebanNya
Bertemu
Di samping sisiNya, berjanji padaNya, kepada diriNya
